Maybe Quinn was the wrong hire then. He talks about accountability and benching and scratching players. But when they come back they are still just as lazy and not giving 100% effort. Maybe the team just doesn't care cause they suck and they know they will be traded. But his accountability tactics aren't working it doesn't seem.

like Jan says, everybody railed against AV about how he treated Buchnevich, and Buch has absolutely regressed under Quinn, not even a debate there

I didn't mean just Buch. Just seems like the whole team in general. Lack of passion, lack of interest, lack of attention to detail. The skill part Quinn has no control over but if the team isn't responding to those aspects, that's a big red flag.

Every player on this team is just waiting to be traded. For the most part, effort is their every night. One thing you always here on this blog is "they played hard, but their isn't any high end talent to bury their chances."

Quinn was given a roster void of top end talent, and who know that they, like last year, are going to get moved at the trade deadline.

This current roster is only thinking about where they will be in a few weeks, and its very hard for a rookie coach, any coach to keep, the players focused/motivated/invested in the NYRs

Like rentz said, most of the team is thinking they will be traded, why would they honestly care about what the coach says. Quinn got put in a bad spot. I like him, you want a coach who lets the inmates run the asylum?

In saying this, Ruff is the guy who needs to go. Defense has regressed so bad since he came aboard.

Would be more entertaining than the bs we watch now.

But I am just bringing up some points, cause it seems like the younger guys are doing the same stuff. Has to be a little concerning. You would figure they would want to fight for their place. If it was just some of the vets on their way out I wouldn't really look too much into it. Can't trade the whole team, unless Jimbo was GM. Then they would all be gone lol

The younger players, like Howden, Chtil, Pionk, are going through typical growing pains. It sucks for their development that the vets aren't showing them the right way to play though. Send the kids down to Hartford....get them some confidence, and away from all this BS untill after deadline

This could be the worst defensive corps we have iced since the Malik days. Not one top 4 guy on this team

Chytil is playing great, if Jesper Fast had any kind of offensive skill he would have had more points

The problem is you have guys who know they might be traded with young guys on a pretty bad team. It really doesn't matter if Jesus was the coach. They aren't going to play as 1 unit when they are rebuilding. Its why I cant stand the talk of a drawn out rebuild, its dumb, it creates a losing culture and there is no guarantee. Get this rebuild over as quick as possible and get a team together that will work together.

I'm completely convinced he just wants one or 2 star players and could care less if the team is remotely good.

With the way things are going in sports right now, my only hopes are

Liverpool with the Premiere League

Phillies sign Bryce Harper

Rams were just to strong. Wouldn't be surprised if they win it all.
